CIBER Selected to Developing and Managing Enterprise Wide Financial Applications

A leading gift-asset management company engaged CIBER’s GSC in India for help in developing and managing its enterprise wide financial applications, from portfolio rebalancing to gift planning. The quality of the partnership was so strong that the client soon transferred full IT responsibility to us to develop a new applications suite closely integrated with existing legacy systems. The result was new and differentiated financial services products to enhance the client's marketplace competitiveness.

GSC India was selected for its experience in financial application development. The initial contract signed was for 250-person day development work but expanded within the year to end-to-end application management. This included design and development of new applications as well as maintenance and support of existing applications for the client's entire business functions. In recognition of our capabilities to deliver secure, scalable and flexible applications, it was awarded the entire responsibility of managing IT for the client.

Business Challenge

The client needed to develop applications for various financial solutions including portfolio rebalancing and management, tax computations, CRM solutions, and wealth and asset management. A customized gift-planning tool was needed specific to the client's evolving requirements for financial portfolio management. Developing these applications included:

Solution

CIBER dedicated a global team of technical professionals, project managers and business analysts to the project. We established an integrated development environment with blended application frameworks, and created an actionable reporting solution for design, visualization and delivery of reports via the web or embedded in enterprise applications. The client gained the ability to generate more effective presentations of data and perform on-report business modeling while becoming more self-sufficient and freeing their development and IT staffs for other work. A rigorous testing process verified applications security and capability to manage information against key financial variables, and across Windows NT, Sun Solaris and Apple Mac platforms.
